ICA Gruppen (ICA) is Sweden’s leading grocery retailer. In May 2018, Ocado Group signed an exclusive partnership with ICA to launch a home delivery ecommerce service in Sweden using the Ocado Smart Platform.
ICA operates as a unique business model with independent retailer-owned stores and Ocado Group has tailored its platform to reflect ICA’s cooperative business model, with individual store owners leveraging the platform and Ocado Group’s wide fulfilment capabilities to bring their unique offerings to their customers online.
Each independent ICA retailer has their own dedicated webshop which takes account of their autonomy in setting their product range, pricing and marketing strategies. It also means each ICA retailer will retain complete control of their online customer and business data. ICA has begun by transitioning its current store pick operations to the Ocado Smart Platform's In-store Fulfilment (ISF).

Partnership Milestones
ICA's first Customer Fulfilment Centre near Stockholm opened in November 2021.
Since then, ICA has completed a roll-out of Ocado Group's In-Store Fulfilment Solution to 324 stores.
