Partnership Milestones
In December 2023, Lotte held a ceremony to celebrate the groundbreaking of their first Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in Busan – the first of six planned by 2028.
The launch of this new CFC will showcase Ocado Group's pioneering technology, demonstrating a renewed focus towards sustainability; with 30% of the CFC's power generated through solar panels and a fully electric fleet of delivery vehicles, serving the Gyeongnam region from 2025.
The partnership will also introduce multi-storey CFCs for the first time in Ocado Group's history, an innovation where OSP grids can be installed on multiple levels, unlocking a wider range of property types and enabling more efficient use of space in densely built environments.
Lotte will also use Ocado’s In-Store Fulfilment (ISF) software across their network.
Lotte is due to go live with its second CFC in 2027.
