Ocado announces new Head of Grocery Retail

Ocado Group plc (“Ocado”) today announces the promotion of Lawrence Hene to Head of Grocery Retail for Ocado.

The key teams of Trading headed by Zak Watts, Ocado Own Brand headed by Sandra Ziles, Marketing and Customer Experience headed by Matt Knight and Key Supplier Liaison headed by Richard Ruddy will all report to Lawrence. Lawrence will sit on the Ocado Management Committee and will report to the Ocado Executive Board, in line with the recently announced Head of Ocado Non Food Retail. Lawrence will assume responsibility for his new role with immediate effect.

Lawrence joined Ocado in 2009 as Head of Corporate Finance and Investor Relations. He was instrumental in delivering the Ocado flotation. Prior to Ocado, Lawrence was a management consultant at OC&C, a leading consumer and retail management consultant. He received an M.Bioch as well as a Ph.D in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford.
