Aperol Spritz set to be Ocado’s best-selling summer cocktail

This year has seen Britain basking in the hottest and longest summer in seven years, so it is no surprise that items including ice creams or barbecue essentials have been celebrating high sales.

Summer cocktail favourite Pimm’s has always been at the top of Brits’ shopping lists, but this month, Italian aperitif Aperol is stealing the limelight with Ocado, the online supermarket, reporting a sales increase of 4066%.

Additionally, sales of Prosecco have increased by 1350% YOY, proving that the Aperol Spritz is giving Pimm’s a run for its money in the summer cocktail stakes.
