August 31, 2017

Ocado has appointed David Shriver to the newly created role of Communications Director.

In this role, David will be responsible for strengthening Ocado’s engagement with its major stakeholders. One of his priorities will be deepening and widening Ocado’s relationship with its investors and with the capital markets more generally, as the company continues to expand its retail business in the UK and licence its proprietary technology to international grocery businesses. David has thirty years communications and capital markets experience. He was formerly Managing Partner of Tulchan Communications LLP, a leading international financial PR firm. Before that he served as Strategic Adviser to the Chief Executive and Director of Group Financial Communication at Carrefour. David also spent sixteen years as a top-rated food retail analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston and NatWest Securities. At Credit Suisse, as a managing director in the equities division, he was joint head of the global retail research group.

Tim Steiner, Ocado CEO, said, “We have a very exciting time ahead of us at Ocado as we bring our transformative, industry-leading technology to retailers across the world while at the same time continuing to raise the bar for customer service and satisfaction in our retail business. We have a strong story to tell and we are delighted to welcome David to the Ocado team to help us tell this story with energy and vision”.

David Shriver said, “I am thrilled to be joining Ocado, a global tech innovator and disruptor and an iconic and much-loved retail business. I am a great believer in the impact of smart joined-up communication on corporate reputation and look forward to bringing my skills and experience to the benefit of Ocado and its stakeholders”.
