Ocado creates over 200 new permanent jobs in Park Royal
Online supermarket Ocado has opened a new 68,690 square foot delivery hub in Park Royal in northwest London, creating 205 new jobs. Based in Origin Business Park, the modern building has been designed to be Ocado’s most environmentally innovative property to date, featuring solar roof panels and rain water recycling, achieving an EPC rating of A.
Ocado is on the hunt for 200 friendly drivers to deliver shopping into customers’ homes throughout the week and during all seasons. Candidates must hold an EU or UK driving licence and share a passion for delivering award-winning customer service. Continuing expansion and the boom in online grocery shopping has fuelled the development of the new site, which is home to 100 new Mercedes vans. In February, the retailer announced profits of £7million and an increase of customers to 453,000.
