Online supermarket Ocado (ocado.com) has launched its biggest ever recruitment drive to find over 1,000 new UK staff. The retailer’s dramatic expansion has fuelled the search for new team members in all areas of the organisation including its Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in Dordon, Warwickshire, in-house technology division based in Hatfield and its service delivery hubs in Wimbledon and Ruislip.

The new Dordon vacancies include 800 roles for ‘personal shoppers' who receive, pack and load customers' orders using highly advanced technical systems that enable Ocado to provide award-winning service for customers across the UK. 100 vacancies are available at the brand new hub at Ruislip with 80 at Wimbledon for ‘Customer Service Team Members’ – super friendly drivers who deliver shopping into customers’ homes seven days a week.

Ocado’s technology division is currently searching for the brightest tech talent for 100 new jobs based in Hatfield. These software engineers, tech professionals and technicians will drive Ocado’s game-changing innovation into robotics, machine learning, cloud development and big data, whilst preparing for international expansion.

Ocado is also on the hunt for head office and operational support staff with a wide range of opportunities available for specialists including Analysts, Project Managers, Buyers, HR Professionals and many more. All of the latest vacancies can be found here.

Julie Markey, HR Director at Ocado said, “In just a few short years Ocado has grown from a tiny start-up to a company worth over £2.5 billion and we’re delighted to announce the creation of 1,000 new jobs as we continue to develop our business here in the UK and abroad.

“Every role is critical to our success, from keeping our website running smoothly, to packing groceries and delivering them into our customers' kitchens. People can shape their own future; in fact many of those who joined our Dordon team last year have already developed into managerial, engineering or training roles.”

Salaries at all levels are highly competitive, with premium rates paid to evening or night-time workers, plus 15% staff discount and additional benefits including a pension scheme, share save programme and private healthcare.
